On Aug. 27, Unitree pledged annual, non-repayable funding for “genius youth,” open to students from high school through the end of a master’s degree.
Projects can span chips, AGI, microrobots, fusion, regenerative medicine, superconductors—or anything bold. Selection rewards proposal and process quality, not outcomes. Grants range from RMB10K to RMB20K in stages, with no cap for exceptional work.
Founder Wang Xingxing received about RMB10K around 2010 for a haptic-glove project after years of experimenting with scraps. One small grant can unlock the next builder.
