Google says 3.7 Flash "thinks more diligently," applying more effort to multi-step planning and tool calls. Its stated goal is more disciplined execution with fewer retries and less manual supervision.
For knowledge-dense fields like finance, law, and biosciences, significant jumps, all inside 3 weeks:

Pricing for Gemini 3.7 Flash moves to $1.50/$7.50 per million input/output tokens on Jan. 1, 2027. Until then, the temporary discount gives high-volume coding and business agent teams several months to see if Google’s claimed reductions in retries and human oversight lead to lower overall operating costs.
