Terra now costs $2/$12 p per 1M input/output tokens, while GPT-5.6 Sol Standard remains $5 and $30.
Sol Fast takes the opposite approach, offering up to 2.5x more speed at twice Standard pricing with no stated intelligence change.
OpenAI attributes the reductions to cheaper serving, saying kernel changes helped cut total serving cost 20% while token-generation experiments improved efficiency by more than 15%.
