Elon Musk has always been a genuine advocate of open source.

• He named OpenAI because it was originally intended to be an open-source, nonprofit alternative to closed AI companies.

• Tesla opened its patents so others could use its technology.

• After buying Twitter, he open-sourced the recommendation algorithm.

• Tesla opened its NACS charging connector design to the world, helping it become an industry-wide standard.

• He open-sourced Grok Build, SpaceXAI's coding agent and CLI.

• Now he just announced that 𝕏 will open-source its entire codebase.

While most companies build black boxes and ask people to trust them, @elonmusk keeps opening the box.

That is real transparency.
