Sigma (@Sigma_Browser) just announced an open-source private AI browser that runs the OpenClaw agent and local models like Qwen, Gemma, and Nemotron on your device.
Most AI browsers send page context and task steps to remote servers, which adds delay and creates a privacy gap.
Sigma’s proposal is to place a local LLM inside a Chromium browser, then let it read pages, understand intent, and act on the web directly.
That changes the browser from a passive viewer into a working surface where AI can click, type, summarize, and automate routine online tasks.
Because the browser already holds your real working context: tabs, forms, searches, accounts, and all the messy state of a task in progress.
Once an agent lives there, the interface shifts from asking for information to delegating action.
