A native app, cloud option, free local models like Qwen or Gemma, support for your own API keys, and built-in access to logs, files, terminal, and dashboards turns “agent” from a repo into a working environment.
That makes Hermes Agent more like a persistent operator for email, calendars, documents, browser tasks, files, and monitoring, while staying private and open source.
The hardest part of agent software is not usually reasoning.
It is making the system stable, visible, and easy enough to keep running.
