San Francisco prosecutors want Daniel Moreno-Gama, the 20-year-old suspect in the attack on Sam Altman’s home, held without bail after alleging he threw a Molotov cocktail, tried to target OpenAI’s HQ, and posed an ongoing public-safety threat.
He had a AI CEO kill list, prosecutors say.
He faces 2 counts of attempted murder and attempted arson, while federal prosecutors separately accuse him of using explosives to damage property and possessing an unregistered firearm.
Investigators say his motive came from extreme anti-AI beliefs, and court filings cited writings in which he described AI as a threat to humanity, said he wanted to kill Altman, and listed other AI figures.
